The race to make an affordable robotic arm is on, and Carbon Robotics approached bould to give their arm a look that would be both approachable and scientific - at home in the lab as well as on the production line.

We developed a number of different form languages, and ultimately settled upon a design that included “nodes” where the arm would be able to display its status and communicate to users around it.

Carbon Robotics shut down before reaching production.
